Thannal Hand Sculpted Homes hands on 3 days workshop with RVSP School of Architecture Chennai students in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu. We really had a nice time day and night with wonderful students introducing natural building with their dedicated faculty Ar.Sneha Rajasekar and Ar. Shahir Ahamad

Natural building processes covered in DEC 2015 workshop
1. Foundation mix
2. Sample dry rubble packing of foundation till plinth.
3. Material library
4. Understanding- lime slaking and filtering, fermentation of kadukai and jaggert, bamboo treatment with boric borax.
5. Cob mixing ( manual,cattle and tractor)
6. Cob wall making
7. Splitting bamboos for wattle

JAN 2015 Natural building workshop in
Nelamangala, Bangaluru (JAN 15th- 18th)
It was perfect blend of Matured hands and Young minds. The Thannal four days workshop (Jan 2015) on natural building with support of Jayaram Hr ( The Green Path) at Sukrushi Organic Farm was able to inject need, simplicity and beauty of natural building to all the attendees, even the local villagers came up to see and understand the process, which is the real essence of Thannal.
