Wattle & Daub

Wattle-and-daub is one of the oldest and widely used natural building methods.Here for wattle we are using Korakai reeds (Arundo donax), is a tall perennial cane growing in damp soils. This reeds are some times used for making musical instrument Flute.After making walls, giant reeds has been plastered (daub) using more clay soil in cob mixture.

Material used : Water Reed (Giant reed -Arundo donax),Bamboo,Palm Leaf,Cob mixture for plaster
